USCCA Concealed Carry (CCW) & Home Defense Fundamentals

Citizen Response Training seeks to provide the absolute best in concealed carry (CCW) training.  This course utilizes the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) curriculum, because we believe it is superior to the rest in setting the right expectations for prospective firearms owners in terms of the physical, legal, financial and moral aspects of firearm usage; specifically in the context of defense

COURSE TOPICS INCLUDE:

• The importance of developing a Personal Protection Plan
• Essential gun safety rules
• Self defense firearms basics
• Ammunition and firearms storage
• Defensive shooting fundamentals
• Legal use of force / Ohio concealed carry laws
• Violent encounters
• Gear & gadgets
• Gun handling instruction and live-fire shooting on the range

Upon successful completion of this course and the written examination, students receive a certificate in accordance with ORC 2923.125 to be used to apply for their Ohio Ohio Concealed Handgun License (CHL).  Additionally, this course meets the legal training requirements of several other states, and we can try to accommodate those if needed.  

If you are a new gun owner, or are considering it and want to get training so that you can make an educated purchase decision, this is a good class to start.  We have pistols available for use on the range (Ammunition is an additional cost), so you can feel comfortable knowing that you are getting quality education and training before you decide.    Our class is for all experience levels (including those who have never fired a gun before) and our instructors will help you to feel comfortable on the range.

Class Time: 8 Hours Minimum (6 hrs Classroom; 2 hrs Range)
